A father from Brixton makes up to £6,000 a month after taking his “side hustle” full-time.
Carpenter and handyman Liam Joseph, 33, completes as many as four jobs in one day and the money he makes covers his general bills and helps support his four children.
He sources his work through an app, Airtasker, where he offers a wide range of services, including painting, decorating, flatpack furniture assembly, flooring installation, door hanging, and more.
Mr Josesph first discovered Airtasker when he needed his TV repaired and stumbled upon the local services marketplace while browsing online.
When work slowed down for him during the pandemic, Mr Joseph, qualified in carpentry and construction, started using Airtasker to make some extra money.
As his workload increased, Liam made the decision to quit his full-time job and use Airtasker to make his income.
Mr Joseph has now completed almost 400 tasks with an abundance of five-star reviews earning over £35,000.
According to Mr Joseph, he can now earn anything from £3,500 to £6,000 a month.
Airtasker has allowed Britons who are juggling a difficult economic climate, by connecting them with essential services at affordable rates within their local community.
It also offers individuals a way to earn extra income by utilising their skills.
According to Airtasker, its “Top Taskers” this year include Mr Joseph, as well as Paul, who has earnt over £30,000 on the platform building log cabins and summer houses.
