The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has test fired a nuclear capable Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
This comes one day after Putin issued a nuclear threat to the West whilst he delivered a major speech.
The ICBM test launch was fired from a designated area at the “Kura training ground” at the Kamchatka Peninsula.
The state-run TASS news agency said, “At the Plesetsk State Test Cosmodrome, crews from the Yoshkar-Ola Missile Force conducted a combat training launch of a mobile-based solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile PGRK Yars, equipped with a multiple warhead.

“The training warheads arrived at the designated area at the Kura training ground on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
“The purpose of the launch was to confirm the tactical, technical and flight characteristics of the modern missile system. All assigned tasks were completed in full.”
On Thursday Putin warned the West that there is a real risk of conflict should they send troops to Ukraine, which comes after the French President Emmanuell Macron threatened in Paris that there could be boots on the ground.
He told Russian Parliament, “There has been talk of sending NATO contingents to Ukraine. But we remember the fate of those who sent contingents [in the past].
“Now the consequences for the interventionists will be much more tragic.”
We too have weapons that can hit targets on their territory. This really threatens a conflict with nuclear weapons, and thus the destruction of civilisation,” he added.
He continued, “[We] will do everything to finish [the war], to eradicate Nazism, to solve all the tasks of the special military operation, to protect the sovereignty and security of our citizens.”
Putin claimed that the invasion of Ukraine is backed by the “absolute majority” of ordinary Russian citizens.
The Russian despot said, “(Western nations) must realise that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory.
All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilisation. Don’t they get that?!”
In his rant Putin told Russians that NATO are “preparing to strike our territory” and he then argued “Russophobia blinds people and deprives them of their rational faculties,” adding, “Without Russia there is no solid peace in the world.”
