May I be permitted a hollow laugh after reading the HTSI Paris Special (March 23)? Without a doubt the city will be even more fabulous during the summer Olympics. However, the sporting theme of fair play has certainly not been adopted by some owners of properties advertised for those of us with tickets for various events. Bumping up the price of their lettings before taking bookings would be common practice in advance of such an event, but I have had two previously confirmed apartments cancelled and then re-advertised at a massively inflated price.
Dishonourable, unfair and definitely not sporting; hopefully, in the spirit of the games, the performance of the athletes will be the opposite.
