The new four-seater Maserati GranCabrio ‘spyder’ grand tourer is available initially only as a top-of-the-range Trofeo variant.
It will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 542 hp 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine with all-wheel drive performance that accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 3.6 seconds up to a top speed of 196mph.

That’s only marginally less than the hard-top GranTurismo coupe version which accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds up to a top speed of 199 mph.
With order books now open, prices for the GranCabrio start from £169,465 ahead of first deliveries in June.
An electric 751 hp version called Folgore is set to follow later this year.
A neck-warmer system offering three levels of heat comes as standard. But the wind deflector designed to cut turbulence for occupants is an optional extra.

Skoda reveals SUV called Epiq
Skoda has given us an early look at its new entry-level all-electric SUV called Epiq, that is set to cost about £22,000 when it goes on sale next year.
The image is said to be close to the final production model. It revives the spirit of the popular Skoda Yeti sold between 2009 and 2017, which remains a shrewd choice for second-hand buyers.

Auto Express editor Steve Fowler said: ‘Skoda fans will immediately draw comparisons with the popular Yeti SUV that was axed amongst uproar in 2017.’
Though slightly shorter than the Yeti, the Epiq has more boot space, with 490 litres compared to the Yeti’s 416 litres. The modern interior includes a large central touchscreen.
