Shares of Fisker Inc. edged up 0.1% in premarket trading Friday, after closing at record lows for the past six sessions, as the electric vehicle maker acknowledged that it regulators were investigating braking issues with the 2023 Fisker Ocean. The company’s statement regarding the investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Office of Defects Investigation was: “Fisker is fully cooperating with the NHTSA on this matter.” The company said it had responded in December to customer feedback by issuing an over-the-air update to the regenerative braking system that resolved the issue. “The Fisker Ocean brake system meets or exceeds all US and international performance requirements,” the company said.
