Experts have warned China to stop their “madness” as they are testing a mutant Covid strain that has a 100% fatality rate in “humanised mice.”
Medical experts have said that the testing is “scientifically pointless” and this “madness” has to be stopped “before it is too late.”
The test is called GX_P2V which is a “pangolin coronavirus” that is being tested on mice and a paper published on the website bioRxiv.
The doctors have been trained by the Chinese military and they found that all four mice tested lost weight and their eyes turned white within five days.
On top of this the virus spread to the brain and lungs and died within eight days which left the scientists “surprised.”

The scientists said, “This finding suggested that severe brain infection during the later stages of infection may be the key cause of death in these mice.”
“To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report showing that a SARS-CoV-2 related pangolin coronavirus can cause 100% mortality in hACE2 mice, suggesting a risk for GX_P2V to spill over into humans.
“Due to the propensity of coronaviruses to undergo adaptive mutation during passage culture, we cloned and analysed mutations in GX_P2V, focusing specifically on the pathogenicity of the cloned strains.”
The paper added, “The high pathogenicity mechanism of GX_P2V C7 in hACE2 mice, in the absence of the wild-type GX_P2V control, requires further investigation.”
Francois Balloux, an epidemiology expert at the University College London’s Genetics Institute, warned, “I can see nothing of vague interest that could be learned from force-infecting a weird breed of humanised mice with a random virus.
“Conversely, I could see how such stuff might go wrong.”
A retired Stanford professor of medicine, Dr Gennadi Glinsky, warned, “This madness must be stopped before too late.”
