Thank you for writing a splendid article, with excellent graphics, on the nuclear arms race, pointing to Russian nuclear efforts to expand into space (“US raises alarm over prospect of Russian nuclear arms in space”, Report, February 26).
Territorial expansion is indeed the bread and butter of modern journalism. The US experiment, if I recall correctly, started with 13 colonies. It would be neat if the FT could keep writing on other essential aspects of territorial expansion, namely profit expansion and artificial intelligence expansion — more crudely, the territories of billionaires and of Big Tech.
