Samsung’s laptops have always been among the best options your money can buy. While Samsung is using the Galaxy branding for them these days in order to be consistent with the company’s other mobile releases, the laptops have gone by many names over the last few decades, and they’re some of the best premium Windows laptops out there. Now, a little less than a year after the company launched its Galaxy Book 3 range, Samsung is launching the new Galaxy Book 4 series, with several improvements.
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its latest PC lineup, the Galaxy Book 4 series, comprising the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, Book 4 Pro, and Book 4 Pro 360. The company says that these are AI PCs, as AI is today’s hottest buzzword, but even if you don’t care all that much about it, there’s still a lot to see here. For starters, the laptop is equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9—the new Core Ultra chips come with a vast range of improvements, including an integrated NPU and a new three-cluster core configuration with new low-power efficiency cores, something that Intel says will result in way better battery life.
As for other specifications, you can configure this with up to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. While not a gaming laptop with all the bells and whistles, it can certainly handle some of the latest AAA titles on the go. We also get up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a respectable 2TB of SSD storage. The Galaxy Book4 Ultra also boasts a longer battery life (partly thanks to the efficiency improvements on Intel’s new chips, in all likelihood), quick charging capability, and heightened data privacy with Samsung Knox security chip.
The series introduces a Dynamic AMOLED 2X 16:10 display with a 2880×1800 resolution, which changes sizes from 14 inches to 16 inches depending on the model. Touchscreens are available across all models, too. As far as audio experiences go, the AKG Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and the dual microphones with AI noise-canceling should not disappoint. Additional features include a large touchpad, a wide selection of ports (including HDMI 2.1), and a slim, lightweight design for on-the-go productivity.
These laptops will first be available in South Korea next month, with other markets following soon. Keep an eye out at your retailer of choice if this sounds appreciate your next laptop.
