The ScanWatch Nova can do tasks such as on-demand medical-grade electrocardiograms. It can do the scan and detect potential heart anomalies, such as atrial fibrillation, via two built-in electrodes. This feature delivers live ECG results within 30 seconds through a touch on the bezel, aiding in the identification of over two million signs of AFib since 2020.

The watch also continuously tracks day and night body temperature variations, aiding in the early detection of potential illnesses or health conditions. It uses TempTech24/7 module technology, integrating heat flux sensors and high-accuracy temperature sensors alongside heart rate and accelerometer input calibrations, providing more accurate body temperature variation assessments.

Blood and oxygen tracking

ScanWatch Nova can also supply on-demand blood oxygen (SpO2) measurements, as it monitors overnight breathing disturbances and average blood oxygen levels during sleep. This feature ensures adequate blood oxygenation, critical for muscle energy during physical activities, while highlighting potential concerns if SpO2 values fall below 90%.

Then it can also do your activity and fitness tracking. It tracks parameters such as steps, calories, elevation, and over 40 daily activities, ScanWatch Nova offers Fitness Level assessments, estimating VO2 Max, a measure of the heart and muscles’ oxygen-to-energy conversion capacity during physical exertion.

Fusing luxury and precision

ScanWatch Nova has a ceramic and stainless-steel rotating bezel, a refined sunray dial, mirror-polished stainless steel case, and luminescent hollow watch hands, indicators, and raised indices for low-light visibility. Encased in a sapphire glass with anti-reflection coating, the watch showcases the elegance of luxury diver-style aesthetics.

It also has a 30-day battery life. ScanWatch Nova ensures continuous day-and-night health, activity, and sleep tracking, supported by a fast USB-C recharge capability in under two hours.

The device uses MultiWave PPG sensors and Withings’ proprietary HealthSense™ operating system, ScanWatch Nova tracks advanced cardiovascular vitals, including heart rate, heart rate variability, ECG, SpO2, breathing disturbances, and sleep patterns.

ScanWatch Nova’s app provides a user-friendly interface for customizing screen displays, monitoring health metrics, setting notification preferences, and receiving personalized insights and recommendations.

“With ScanWatch Nova, we have created an extraordinary heart health hybrid smartwatch that is as
clinically powerful as it is beautiful,” said Eric Carreel, president of Withings, in a statement. “By seamlessly merging luxury design with the power of health technology, peoples’ health journeys can now be as stunning as they are effective. It brings amazing, concrete health benefits such as a medical grade ECG and aesthetic allure in one astonishing package.”

Availability and pricing

ScanWatch Nova will be available on Withings.com from December 5, 2023, priced at $599.95, and from February 1, 2024, at retail partners. The watch includes an oyster bracelet in blue, green, and black color variants.
