Filings: Broadcom plans to lay off 1,267 VMware employees in California starting on January 26 and about 600 workers in Washington, Colorado, and Georgia  —  Barely a week after completing the $69 billion acquisition of the Palo Alto cloud computing company VMware, Broadcom has started the process of significant workforce reductions.
