If you want to take a hands-off approach to managing your Google activity data, you can set up auto-delete for your account’s activity. This feature lets you choose to have your activity data automatically deleted in 3-month, 18-month, or 36-month intervals.

Follow these steps to auto-delete your Google activity:

1. Open a browser and navigate to myactivity.google.com.

2. Click on Web & App Activity.

3. Scroll down until you see “Auto-delete.”

4. Click on “Choose an auto-delete option” to configure it. By default, this is set to Off.

5. A dialogue box will appear. Select 3-months, 18-months, or 36-months.

6. Click on Next.

7. Click on Confirm.

From now on, Google will automatically delete activity that’s older than the duration you’ve specified, ensuring your older data, including searches, app usage, and website visits, is regularly purged without you needing to do anything. By enabling this option, you add an extra layer of privacy to your online activities.
