So once again our socialist Liberal/NDP government, along with the ever-self-absorbed Bloc Québécois, have voted to help themselves to the working man and woman’s pocket by taxing property that we have already paid taxes on when we bought it, pay taxes on yearly and paid on 50 per cent of the gain when we sold it. Now they are grabbing 17 per cent more?

Taxpayers need to wake up!

No Oilers love from PM

Here we have a Canadian team, full of Canadian players, in the Stanley Cup finals — that hasn’t been won by a Canadian team in over 30 years and our PM is a ghost. I doubt it would be that way if the Leafs or the Habs were playing. But then again maybe it’s just because Justin could never ever bring himself to say the words Go “Oilers” Go.

Truck in the water

If I’m correct in assuming that the Bearspaw treatment facility is capable of producing at full capacity, I question why are we not trucking water from there to the cisterns (water reservoirs) throughout the city? Would this not enable the system to deliver water at a higher capacity ?

Line up a fleet of water tankers 24/7 and keep trucking until the repairs are completed. Relying on a short repair timeline would be a mistake.

What could go wrong?

Calgarian’s betrayed by council

After days of public input about blanket rezoning Calgarian’s made it very clear they did not want blanket rezoning for the city. This council and mayor then voted to pass blanket rezoning in Calgary, forever changing the look of Calgary for the worst. The mayor and council then went against the majority of Calgarians’ wishes, which were clearly stated to council, in person, by Calgarians. A bylaw this important should have gone to a vote. Remember this betrayal next term .
