An urgent search for a missing boy ended peacefully Thursday night with the arrest of his mother following what Windsor police called a ‘parental abduction.’

Police took to social media around 5 p.m. Thursday to issue a public call for help to find the eight-year-old boy and his mother.

Investigators posted an update around 6:30 p.m. stating the boy had been found safe, and a 40-year-old woman was in custody.

Anyone with information about the case can call police at 519-258-6111.
