The 4 Nations Face-Off tournament is coming to Montreal.

The NHL and the NHLPA announced Saturday the Bell Centre and TD Garden in Boston will be the venues for the tournament next February involving NHL players representing Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States.

The 4 Nations Face-Off will have seven games played over a nine-day period from Feb. 12-20. Each team will play three games in a round-robin format with three points awarded for a regulation-time win, two points for a win in overtime or a shootout, one point for a loss in overtime or a shootout and zero points for a regulation-time loss. The two teams with the best record after the round-robin will then meet in in a one-game final on Feb. 20 in Boston.

The first six players from each team are expected to be announced on June 28.

“It’s a privilege for us to host some of the best players in the world right here at the Bell Centre in this inaugural edition of the Four Nations tournament,” France Margaret Bélanger, the president of sports and entertainment with Groupe CH, said in a statement. “This event will only add to Montreal’s storied role in making hockey history and we look forward to welcoming fans from around the globe to our venue in February 2025.”

The first game of the tournament between Canada and Sweden will be at the Bell Centre on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 8 p.m.

Three other games will be held at the Bell Centre before the tournament moves to Boston: the United States vs. Finland on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m., followed by a double-headers on Saturday, Feb. 15, with Finland playing Sweden at 1 p.m. and the United States against Canada at 8 p.m. Canada will play its final game of the round-robin against Finland on Monday, Feb. 17, in Boston at 1 p.m.

The 4 Nations Face-Off will replace the NHL’s annual All-Star Game for 2025.
