A Voyage of Immersive Film: One of the great cinema composers of the late 20th century, the late James Horner specialized in memorable, swooping melodies and nail-gnawing action scores.
Though the program skips the sinister Sneakers OST (check it out online), they did a great job programming must-hears from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Aliens, The Rocketeer and Apollo 13, as well as giant selections from Avatar, Braveheart and Titanic.

Touring his just-out album Where the Rivers Do across western Canada with a full band, folk crooner Singer has a slightly melty way of delivering his smartly written, magically ancient songs, where you almost wonder if the scratched record might skip to the next watering hole. The poetic album title comes from him dreaming up how Leonard Cohen might invite someone to The Forks where the Red and Assiniboine rivers junction.
Hardworking Smokey and Sam the Living open this one up like a can of your dad’s tears.
