Calgary police’s homicide unit is investigating the circumstances that led to a man’s death in Crescent Heights Thursday evening.
Police said they were called to a home in the 900 block of First Street N.W., at about 6:30 p.m. for reports of an altercation.
“Upon arrival, officers located a man inside the residence in medical distress. Despite the efforts of EMS, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries,” police said in a release.
One man was taken into custody for questioning. Police believe the victim and suspect are known to each other.
“Investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances that led up to this incident.”
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
