Vancouver is home to companies advancing innovations in artificial intelligence technology in areas such as robotics, medical treatment and mining.

Join us on Wednesday, May 29, for a livestreamed panel discussion hosted by Stuart McNish on the work being done in our city and how we can capitalize on the rapid expansion of AI in our lives.

The panelists:

• Olivia Norton, the co-founder of Sanctuary AI, a company that is on a mission to create the world’s first human-like intelligence, general purpose robots.

• David Seymour, vice president and general manager of Microsoft Vancouver. Seymour and his team are at the centre of the Copilot and AI Strategy for M365.

• Murray Thom, vice president at D-Wave, one of the world’s leading quantum technology companies.

• Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim, a self-confessed tech nerd, who believes that the city and the region are uniquely positioned to foster the growth of AI technology companies.

• Walter Pela, the regional managing partner at KPMG, a key member of the company’s digital product development and AI initiatives and the co-founder of the Vancouver Ignition Centre an innovative, disruptive lab.
