Some residents in Fall River were briefly evacuated after Mounties responded to a threat over the weekend.

On Sunday around 10:30 a.m., RCMP say Canterbury Lane was closed while officers investigated a threat in a home.

Few details were provided but, in a release, RCMP said neighbours of the home were evacuated from the area as a precaution.

The RCMP says a search of the home did not turn up a suspect and officers continued to search the area.

About 1:15 p.m., RCMP sent out a release saying officers determined there was no threat and residents were allowed back home after Canterbury Lane was reopened.
