Alberta Health Services has lifted a boil-water advisory issued last week for areas of Rocky View County.
In a Friday news release, AHS says satisfactory water quality has been restored to the Salt Box Coulee Waterworks System and the Rocky View County water systems which draw water from it.
The affected systems include Salt Box Coulee, Calling Horse Estates, Windmill Water Co-op and Deer Springs.
“As water quality has been restored, the boil-water order issued April 19, 2024, has been lifted, effective immediately,” the release says.
“All residents and businesses in these communities can return to normal water consumption practices as boiling is no longer required, provided they flush their plumbing systems prior to initial use.”
According to AHS spokesperson Janine Poersch, approximately 69 homes were affected by the order.
AHS says information about flushing lines following a boil-water order can be accessed online here. Residents with health concerns can contact Health Link to speak with a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 811.
