A Toronto Police officer has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of an assault investigation in which the alleged victims were two women.

Police said officers started an investigation on April 20 after a man allegedly showed up at an address and assaulted two women.

Const. Nickolas Kalatzopoulos, 51, a 25-year-veteran assigned to the primary report, management and entry unit, is charged with two counts of assault and one count of unlawfully being in a dwelling house. None of the allegations have been tested in court.

He is scheduled to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice on May 24.
