Get the brooms ready: the Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a series sweep.

It would be their first of the season. They already won the series against the San Diego Padres on Saturday with another excellent pitching performance from Jose Berrios, who dropped his ERA to 0.85. Today, he’ll turn it over to Chris Bassitt, who has rebounded well for the team after a rough first two starts.

But the Jays as a whole had a rough start to the season, beginning the year with a 10 game road trip through Tampa Bay, Houston and the Bronx before returning home to the Rogers Center. Ever since they did, the club has found their game going 8-3, outscoring the opposition 47-40, which includes a stinker to the Colorado Rockies in which they gave up a dozen runs.

The offence has come from all over, as seemingly every batter is getting involved in the mix. Daulton Varsho, however, has hit another level in it with his five home runs and 11 RBI’s, while Justin Turner, with two home runs and the same amount of RBI’s, has also been mashing.

They’ll see the historically strong, but currently struggling Joe Musgrove, who has allowed a 6.29 ERA this season.
