“Éric Lefebvre informed me this evening of his decision to join the Conservative Party of Canada. In this context, I asked him to withdraw from the CAQ caucus. Thank you Éric for your years of public service and good luck in your new challenges,” Legault said.

Lefebvre’s departure leaves the CAQ with 88 seats in the legislature, versus 19 for the Liberals, 12 for Québec solidaire, four for the Parti Québécois and one other independent, Vaudreuil MNA Marie-Claude Nichols.
