The Saskatoon police serious assault unit continues to investigate several incidents that occurred on the weekend.

On Friday night, around 7:10 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call in the 1300 block of 20th Street West, police said in a media release on Monday.

On their way to the call, they were updated on the location of a victim and headed to the 200 block of Avenue O South, where they found an injured 30-year-old man. At a separate location on the same block, they found an injured 35-year-old man.

Both were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said.

The suspect is described as wearing a black sweater and jeans and carrying a machete.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of an assault in the 300 block of Avenue C South.

Arriving officers confirmed the victim had been assaulted by an unknown man, who fled the scene before they got there, police said in a Monday news release.

The victim was taken to hospital for further assessment.

At 1:22 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a call of a man lying on the street, having been stabbed, the release stated.

Officers arrived to find a 32-year-old man had already been taken to hospital by emergency services.

“His condition was noted as stable,” the release said.

Later Sunday, around 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a report that a woman had been stabbed in the 1700 block of 20th Street West.

Speaking to the victim, they learned she was robbed of her personal belongings, assaulted and stabbed at her home in the 400 block of Avenue R South, police said.

The 20-year-old woman was able to walk to hospital for treatment.
