A car crash involving a pedestrian has shut a portion of 144th Street in Surrey.

Just after 8:30 p.m. Friday Surrey RCMP responded to a collision, involving several cars and a pedestrian in the 6200-block of 144th Street.

Police said two people were transported to hospital with “undetermined injuries.”

Traffic will be disrupted through the evening as police investigate the crash.

“A road closure is in effect on 144th Street between 64th Avenue and 60th Avenue. The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice,” said police.
