Provincial police continue their crackdown on errant motorists during the Easter weekend.

Early Saturday, patrol officers charged a driver on Highway 401 near South Stormont with stunt driving and other charges after the vehicle was clocked doing 164 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

The driver was also unable to provide proof of insurance or ownership of the vehicle.

“This vehicle was also the subject of 2 traffic complaints in the last 48 hours,” police said on social media,’

Late Friday, police attended a two-car collision on the 401 near Cardinal.

“The driver claimed someone else was driving —  investigation by #GrenvilleOPP revealed otherwise,” police noted drily in social media post,

The driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving, obstructing a peace officer and dangerous driving.
