A man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a Surrey man in the Downtown Eastside nearly six years ago.
Negussie Abera, 26, was stabbed in a fight on West Hastings Street near Abbott Street just after 11 a.m. on June 23, 2018.

The attack was not random, said police.
He was taken to hospital and died from his injuries one week later.
On Tuesday, Vancouver police said Benny Rae Armstrong, 38, was arrested on March 22 and has been charged with manslaughter in the death of Abera. Armstrong remains in custody.
