Charges have been laid in relation to an Airdrie search warrant carried out on March 22.
Airdrie RCMP, along with the RCMP’s emergency response team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant, warning the public of an increased police presence in with city’s South West throughout the day.

Discovered during the search was a hand gun, cocaine, fentanyl and cash.

Nathan Appiah Dwumaah, 20, has been released on $250 cash bail with conditions. He has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a restricted firearm without a license
- Possession of a weapon contrary to an order
- Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
He is scheduled to appear in court on March 28.
Rahma Shafei, 18, has been released on a $500 promise to pay with conditions. He has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
He is scheduled to appear in court on April 18.
