Arriving officers found a person injured inside a suite on the hotel’s fourth floor. The man later died of his injuries.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.

“The whole hotel right now is potentially a crime scene, the parking lot as well,” acting Staff-Sgt. Juno Brady told reporters at the scene.

Officers took one person into custody in relation to the incident, though they said his involvement is unknown.

Police have cordoned off much of the area surrounding the hotel. Investigators remain on scene.
