A Leamington man accused of breaking into a house and stealing a car is facing multiple charges after officers riding ATVs spotted him on the Chrysler Greenway.

The OPP Leamington detachment received a report March 7 about a break-in at a home in Comber.

Police said that sometime between March 5 and March 7, someone gain entry to the home. They allegedly stole some electronics and a vehicle that was parked in the garage.

Police, including the Essex County OPP Community Street Crime Unit, started investigating and identified a suspect.

On March 15, officers from the Leamington detachment were on ATV patrol on the Chrysler Greenway when they spotted the suspect and arrested him.

A 42-year-old Leamington man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and 10 counts of operation while prohibited.
