A fresh-faced Pamela Anderson stole the spotlight at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
The Ladysmith, B.C. resident took time away from her six-acre Vancouver Island retreat to attend the star-studded Hollywood event. Posing on the red carpet alongside her son Brandon Thomas Lee, 27, the actor and activist wore a sequin-adorned floral Oscar de la Renta gown with mesh cut-outs.

She paired the glamorous red-carpet outfit with a no-makeup look and her platinum-blond hair in a carefree, natural texture.
Anderson made headlines last fall when she debuted her makeup-free preference during Paris Fashion Week.

At the international fashion event, Anderson, 56, told Vogue France that, while she didn’t initially plan to nix makeup from her pre-event prep, she decided to go au natural with her glam in order to let her look from Vivienne Westwood be front and centre.
“Something just came over me and I was dressing in these beautiful clothes and I thought, ‘I don’t want to compete with the clothes,’” Anderson, who showed some local love to Vancouver-headquartered brand Aritzia by starring in its collection campaign last year, told the publication. “I’m not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room.
“I feel like it’s just freedom. It’s like a relief.”
Viewed more than 1.4 million times on YouTube, Anderson’s interview with Vogue France — and her following red carpet appearances where she’s gone makeup-free — have garnered much praise online with commenters calling Anderson’s recent approach to beauty as a “breath of fresh air,” “oddly poetic and symbolic,” and “perfect.”
