“During the ‘Duel at the Top’, the Montreal team, which has already played in front of four of the top five crowds of our inaugural season, will have the chance to write a new page in the history of women’s hockey at the Bell Centre by breaking the world attendance record previously held by the Toronto team,” PWHL vice-president of field hockey operations Jayna Hefford said.

“Our fans have been asking for this game at the Bell Centre since the beginning of the season, and we’re happy to be able to give them what they want. It’s exciting to know that we’ll be playing in the biggest hockey arena in North America, and I’m sure our fans will be louder than ever,” Montreal general manager Danièle Sauvageau added.

This game between the Montreal and Toronto teams will replace the one scheduled for April 21 at the Verdun Auditorium. Ticket holders for this game will be contacted before tickets go on sale to the public for the April 20 game at the Bell Centre.

On Feb. 16, the game between Montreal and Toronto at Scotiabank Arena, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, set a women’s hockey attendance record with a crowd of 19,285.
