Saturday night’s National Lacrosse League tilt between the visiting Saskatchewan Rush and host Buffalo Bandits was a back-and-forth affair that led to the hometown team winning 15-14 in overtime.
Saskatchewan had a 2-1 lead after the first 15 minutes, but the Bandits fought back to tie the game 5-5 at halftime.

Both teams scored six goals in the third quarter and then another three each in the fourth, bringing the score to 14-14 at the end of regulation and forcing extra time.

Five minutes and 22 seconds into overtime, Tehoka Nanticoke netted his fourth goal of the game to give the Bandits the victory.
The Rush were led by Robert Church with six goals and two assists, while Ryan Keenan chipped in with three goals and four assists.
It was a high-shooting game for both teams as Rush goalie Frank Scigliano made 40 saves on 55 shots and Matt Vinc stopped 47 of 61 shots on goal for the Bandits.
With 10 games under their belt this season, Saskatchewan holds a 4-6 record and 12th place in the NLL standings.
Next up, they’ll host the New York Riptide (6-7) on March 16 in Saskatoon in the first game of a home-and-home series.
