The deputy chairman of Russia’s security council has warned NATO that Moscow “has no more red lines.”
Russia’s former President Dmitry Medvedev gave the grave warning in response to comments made by the French President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine and following a meeting with party leaders, French Communist Party National Secretary Fabien Roussel warned that “France’s position has changed.”
Speaking of the war in Ukraine Roussel said that Macron expressed “there are no more red lines, there are no more limits,” Le Monde reported.

Medvedev issued a warning against NATO and European allies of Ukraine in response to Macron’s comments.
Medvedev wrote on X, “Macron has said, ‘there are no more red lines, there are no more limits’ in terms of supporting Ukraine (Le Monde).
“Then that means, Russia has no more red lines left for France.”
He added in the post, “In hostem omina licita,” a Latin phrase that translates as “everything is legal if it is done to an enemy.”
On Thursday Colonel-General Vladimir Zarudnitsky, the head of the Russian army’s Military Academy of the General Staff warned that war is “significantly increasing” across Europe which “cannot be ruled out.”
The Russian publication Military Thought published Colonel-General Zarudnitsky’s comments.
Russian state news agency RIA reported, “The possibility of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine – from the expansion of participants in ‘proxy forces’ used for military confrontation with Russia to a large-scale war in Europe – cannot be ruled out.”
Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) chief Sergei Naryshkin has also warned that comments made by Emmanuel Macron sending NATO boots on the ground in Ukraine has put the world “on the brink of nuclear war.”
The SVR chief told Russian TV channel, “This shows the high degree of irresponsibility of Europe’s leaders today, in this case the president of France.
“This is, of course, sad to see – to observe and to understand that the ability of current elites in Europe and the North Atlantic to negotiate is at a very low level.
“It is more and more rare that they demonstrate any common sense at all. But these statements are extremely dangerous.
They are already taking us to the brink of nuclear war.”
The Czech President Petr Pavel has also said that Europe must play a key role to help Ukraine and must threaten Moscow.
Pavel said Europe must discuss the “possible presence in Ukraine in various forms” which comes after Macron said that Western allies must “not be cowards.”
President Pavel said, “And if we behave within the framework of international law, we should not close ourselves off from the possibilities of support provided to Ukraine.
“We need to look for new opportunities, including discussing the possible presence in Ukraine in various forms.
“There are a number of possibilities. The discussion has started. The last time it was NATO defense ministers. There was also a consultative meeting of the leaders in Paris. We must continue.”
