The collision happened at 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of Cuthbert Road and Dodge Line in the township of South-West Oxford. A yellow school bus could be seen lying on its side on a rural road.

“All of the students’ parents have been notified. I just want to reassure everybody that everybody that was on that bus, all the parents have been notified,” said OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk.

“I also want to take this opportunity to thank the good samaritan who came to the aid of the officers on the bus this morning. We just can’t thank you enough for everything you did this morning to evacuate those children,” he added.

The full extent of the injuries is unknown at this time, Sanchuk said, adding that the driver of the bus suffered minor injuries.
