From classics like The Lion King to Beetlejuice and Tina, Broadway Across Canada brings seven shows to Vancouver for the 2024-25 season.

Broadway Across Canada announced its Vancouver season with seven theatre spectacular performances bound to be hits with musical fans in B.C.

The seven show offering include some of the top shows of recent years and some returning classics. Performances take place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, and tickets for the four-show-season packages go on sale March 7 at 10 a.m. at BroadwayAcrossCanada.ca or 856-542-7469.

Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice

When: Jan. 21-26, 2025

Director Tim Burton’s film is adapted to a musical loaded with zany, spirited song-and-dance displays. The story of goth teen Lydia Deetz’s adventures with a recently deceased couple and a really rambunctious demon is described by Variety as “screamingly good fun.”

TINA — The Tina Turner Musical

When: March 25-30, 2025

The story of the late, great rock ‘n’ soul singer Tina Turner took audiences by storm with it’s high-energy numbers. Given the title character’s expansive and hit-laden career, this comes as no surprise. The show was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall.


Six

SIX

When: May 13-18, 2025

The six wives of Henry VIII deliver a dynamic Tony award-winning retelling of their unfortunate lives married to arguably history’s worst husband. Winner of 23 awards in the 2021-22 season, including best original score, this trip through the Tudor Queens in a girl power pop format will bring down the palace walls with a score that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard cast album charts with over six million streams in its first month.

Riverdance 30 — The New Generation

When: June 10-15, 2025

The Grammy award-winning celebration of Irish and other dance styles set to a fiddle-driven folk soundtrack is back celebrating three decades. The entire cast of this production wasn’t even born when the show had its debut.

Disney’s The Lion King

When: Aug. 20 to Sept. 14, 2025

The return of one of the world’s most popular musicals. Tony-winning director Julie Taymor brings this tale of hope and resolve in the face of fate to life with incredible puppets, production sets and songs from Elton John and Tim Rice that moved a generation of fans of the film to declare Hakuna Matata.
