Well, Edmonton, we had to endure another flurry-filled weekend! Hopefully you didn’t have too many issues. As much as I wish I could say the winter freeze was behind us, the next few days are going to be powerfully frigid.

Article content

For starters, Monday will be a mix of sun and cloud with knife-edged 20 km/h winds, bringing the high of -16 down to a wind chill of -26, which will persist overnight. Tuesday will be much the same, with 15 km/winds blowing light snow across the city and bringing the high of -11 down to a wind chill of -26. The week will finally start to warm up again on Thursday, which will mark the slow march into, well, March!

Frostbite is still a serious concern with these kinds of temperatures and wind chills. If you have to go out on the roads, please make sure wear warm clothes and winter boots, and always keep a spare set of gloves in the car! You never know when you might have a slip on the road and have to keep yourself warm while you wait for a tow.
