One person is in serious condition in hospital following a road accident in Ahuntsic that injured three people.
A vehicle that was travelling southbound on Highway 15 tried to exit at De Salaberry St. E., missed a turn and hit some trees near Place Jean-Massé shortly before 3 p.m., Montreal’s police service said Friday. The three people who were inside the vehicle were all age about 18, police said.

Fire department employees had to be called in to remove the driver from the vehicle, police said. He suffered head injuries in the accident and was rushed to hospital.
The two other passengers left the vehicle by themselves. They suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
Collision squad investigators are on the scene to try to understand exactly what happened.
The causes of the accident are still unclear. There are no reports of excessive speed or alcohol use at this stage.
