The US President Joe Biden has warned Congress that “history is watching” and has called for aid to be sent to Ukraine to beat Vladimir Putin.

Over the news of Alexei Navalny’s death President Biden sad that he is “both not surprised and outraged by the news.”

He said he has no reason to not believe that Putin’s critic is dead and said that Navalny “bravely” stood up to the corruption in Russia.

Biden said, “Make no mistake, Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death” and it is “yet more proof of Putin’s brutality.

“This tragedy reminds us of the stakes of this moment. We have to provide the funding so Ukraine can keep defending itself.”

Hitting out at Congress he warned them that “history is watching the House of Representatives.”

Making reference to what Donald Trump said that the US will not defend some NATO countries for not paying if elected, he said that America will defend the alliance.

Biden said, “Putin and the whole world should know. If any adversary were to attack us, our NATO allies would back us, and if Putin were to attack a NATO ally, the US will defend every inch of NATO territory.”

Biden was asked about the remark where he warned Putin in 2021 that there will be “consequences” for Russia should Navalny die in prison.

He said in response, “That was three years ago, in the meantime they have faced a hell of a lot of consequences.”

Navalny’s allies have said that this it is “highly likely” that he was “killed” in prison and his lawyers are set to travel to the prison.

Kira Yarmysh, who was Navalny’s secretary, said that the lawyers will arrive at the prison in Kharp on Saturday.

Ivan Zhdanov, said it was “not a regular death” for Navalny, but a “deliberate political murder.”

The chairman of the Russian Duma has blamed the West for Alexie Navalny’s death who was being held at a maximum security prison near to the Arctic Circle.

Vyacheslav Volodin who is the chairman of Russia’s State Duma, which is a chamber of Russian parliament blamed the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, NATO’s leaders, Germany, Ukraine and the US who are “the perpetrators of Navalny’s death.”

Volodin blamed the West over their “failed decisions” and hit out at the West for making accusations against Russia and Vladimir Putin without waiting for the results of Navalny’s death.

The Russian Duma chairman said, “They, who have made a huge number of failed decisions and are clinging on to their jobs, benefit from his death.

“Washington and Brussels are to blame for Navalny’s death.”
