On track: French driver Lola Lovinfosse, 18, will drive the Charlotte Tilbury car (pictured), bearing the slogan ‘Makeup Your Destiny’
Taylor Swift has brought American Football to a new female audience since she began dating a player – and now Charlotte Tilbury wants to open up Formula 1 to young women.
Her beauty brand is linking up with the F1 Academy, a project helping female drivers to progress to the highest levels of competition.
It is the first female-founded brand to back the academy. More women have orbited the Earth than driven an F1 car.
Despite 40 per cent of fans being women, there have been only five female drivers.
The brand said it will be working to raise global awareness of the talent of all 15 academy drivers.

Tilbury, whose celebrity pals include Amal Clooney, wants to ‘elevate this new generation of fearless young female drivers’.
Academy boss Susie Wolff said the backing would ‘empower and inspire confidence in the next generation of women’.
