Save $381 when bundled with Pixel Buds Pro earbuds

Google’s first foldable phone — the Pixel Fold — hit shelves last summer, and it didn’t take long before it found a top spot in our roundup of favorite models on the market right now. For anyone who already uses Google services for email, calendar and cloud storage, the Pixel Fold is a great option. But it doesn’t come cheap, with a starting retail price of $1,799. That’s why we’ve scoured the internet to find some great deals for you to help make this folding phone more affordable.

Google’s foldable has a book-style folding design with a 5.8-inch external display and a 7.6-inch internal panel. It’s powered by the company’s in-house Tensor G2 chip and has all the features you’d expect from a high-end device, like 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM and a triple-lens camera system with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 10.8-megapixel ultrawide camera.

How much does the Pixel Fold cost?

The Google Pixel Fold launched at $1,799 in the US, putting it right on par with the starting price of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5. And the price jumps up to $1,919 if you want a 512GB model with double the storage.

What colors does the Pixel Fold come in?

The Pixel Fold comes in just two colors: white and black. That’s a slimmed-down palette compared with previous Pixel-branded phones.

Best Pixel Fold deals

While there are currently no direct deals on the Pixel Fold from Google, you can save up to $580 with an eligible trade-in — with the iPhone 14 lineup bringing you the biggest discount. However, Google also accepts phones from Samsung, LG, Motorola and others.

AT&T customers who have a device to trade in can get up to $1,040 in bill credits on the Google Pixel Fold, knocking down the price to as little as $759. You are required to add or switch to an eligible unlimited plan and purchase this device on an installment plan. The discount is then applied as bill credits over a 36-month period, and you’ll have to pay the remaining balance if you cancel service before then.

AT&T also has its own trade-in program where you can save even more in exchange for your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and other brands, but it’s not required to qualify for this deal.

Verizon customers who purchase the Pixel Fold by adding a new line of service with the Unlimited Ultimate plan and trading in an eligible device can qualify for up to $1,000 off. If you just have a device to trade in, you can still save up to $800, though you’ll have to upgrade to the Unlimited Ultimate plan if you don’t already have it. Discounts are given in the form of bill credits spread out over 36 months. Verizon is currently only offering the obsidian (black) color.

Plus, Verizon is offering up to $220 in additional credit if you add a Google Pixel Watch 2 to any plan when purchasing the Google Pixel Fold phone. Just note that you’ll need a new line of service for that device to get the discount.

T-Mobile customers who have or switch to a Go5G Plus or Next plan can save up to $1,000 on the Pixel Fold when adding a new line or with an eligible trade-in. Though it’s worth noting that the obsidian variant of the 256GB model is the only configuration available. The discount is applied via bill credits over 24 months.

While the price for the Pixel Fold on Amazon is only a $50 savings, if you bundle the Pixel Fold with a pair of noise-canceling Google Pixel Buds Pro earbuds, the total for both comes to just $1,618, saving you over $380 on both. The Pixel Buds Pro are some of our favorite wireless earbuds on the market.

Amazon also has its own trade-in program where you can get up to $401 off in exchange for your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and other brands.

Best Buy does not have any straightforward discounts on the unlocked 256GB model of the Pixel Fold, but the retailer is sweetening the pot with bonuses like a one-month membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and three months of 100GB of Google One cloud storage for new subscribers.

Best Buy does offer its own trade-in program, where you can save by trading in your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and other brands. Although the absolute latest models can score you as much as $850, you’re more likely to get between $300 to $400, depending on the age, condition and brand of your phone.
